However, within the first few chapters, I was heavily invested in these new characters and that is a real credit to McManus’s characterisation skills. I thought I would be very disappointed with this sequel as the POV characters aren’t the Bayview Four, the characters I loved from the first book. It was a book I was buried in – I was there with the characters, I wasn’t just reading the book, I was living the book.
